Dennisville Christmas House Tour
One night a year, (the third Saturday of December) the residents of the historic village of Dennisville open their homes to tour goers.
Take a walking tour of these 18th and 19th century historic homes and churches decorated in period holiday style.
The tour's sponsored by Dennisville Historic Homeowners' Association. Tickets are $10 and only available the night of the tour at the Dennisville Post Office, Dennisville New Jersey (near route 47 North)
Houses open at 5PM for tour goers. There are refreshments (some home baked) and comfort stations at the Dennisville United Methodist Church Social Hall.
Bridgeton Christmas House Tour
Historic homes, churches, bed and breakfast inns and other buildings dating as far back as the 17th Century open their doors as part of The Historic Bridgeton Christmas Open House Tour in Cumberland County, New Jersey.
Tours of 20 houses, churches and businesses begin at St. Andrew's Church, 186 E. Commerce St., next to City Hall in Bridgeton. Coordinated by the City of Birdgeton. $15.
Christmas in Greenwich
Right along the Delaware Bayshore, this colonial era town hosts a holiday house tour on the 2nd Sunday of December every year. Included are about 10 private homes as well as the town's historic buildings, like the Nicholas Gibbon house, where you can see a demonstration of hearthside cooking.
Buy tickets for the house tour at the Gibbon House, 960 Ye Greeate St. $10 adults, $5 children, on the day of the tour. There's an Artisan's Market at the local elementary school on the same day. Sponsored by the Cumberland Historical Society. (856) 455-4055.
Lewes, Delaware Christmas tour
Take the ferry across the bay to Lewes and tour decorated historic homes and private homes during this all day event, from 10AM to 4PM. Lewes is a quaint town on the Delaware Bay (right across the bay from Cape May.)
Tickets can be purchased at the Lewes Historical Society and the Zwaanendael Museum, both on Kings Highway in Lewes Delaware. (302) 645-7670.
Mauricetown, NJ Christmas Candlelight House Tour
Annual evening tour of private homes decorated in 19th century holiday style in historic Mauricetown, New Jersey. This Cumberland County village is sited along the federally designated wild and scenic Maurice River. Sponsored by the Mauricetown Historical Society.
