Back Street Simply Delicious

Fresh food at reasonable prices in a cafe reminiscent of Greenwich Village. Backstreet Cafe's been one of the best kept restaurant secrets in Cape May. But locals know all about this unpretentious spot, complete with art on the walls and candle lit tables. Culinary Institute of America alumna Theresa McGlade's a fanatic about fresh ingredients, from the Jersey tomatoes in the salads to the strawberries in the homemade shortcake.

Look for lots of nightly specials featuring local fresh produce and seafood - plus homemade desserts to die for.

There's plenty of free parking or take a nice stroll after dinner - the cafe's just a few blocks from the center of Cape May.
