Performers for the 15th Annual Cape May Music Festival

May 23rd to June 20th

Cape May - From Sunday, May 23 through Sunday, June 20, the Mid Atlantic Center for the Arts will be presenting world renown performers during the 15th annual Cape May Music Festival.

The 15th anniversary season marks the return of the Bay-Atlantic Symphony and the New York Chamber Ensemble. Also on the schedule - Flamenco dancers, Italian Opera, a Dixieland band concert and Doo Wop music.

Gaelic Storm, who performed in the film Titanic, opens the festival Sunday, May 23. Their specialty: energetic dance tunes and haunting ballads.

The New York Chamber Ensemble will be back for a fifteenth year. One program of Jewish and folk-influenced works features three-time Grammy nominee Osvaldo Golijovand's bestseller Klezmer fantasy, The Dreams and Prayers of Isaac the Blind.

The Bay-Atlantic Symphony performance on June 3 will showcase a young, 15 year old violinist Rachel Lee. The orchestra also will present Retro Chic, a concert of Victorian-era compositions June 10.

Memorial Day Weekend brings with it the John Breslin Dixieland band, a popular seven piece band that performs a rollicking and patriotic concert.

Opera buffs have their night with a Gala with Three Tenors Sunday, June 6. Garry Grice, Paul McIlvaine and Thomas Poole celebrate famous Italian tenor songs and arias.

The Klingon Klez ensemble keeps a 500 year old tradition alive and rocking, performing innovative Klezmer music June 13th.

Flamenco Ole! brings its troupe of dedicated flamenco dancers to Cape May June 19th.

The Doo Wop Cops close the Cape May Music Festival June 20. Members of the group are retired police officers. They've entertained presidents and performed with music stars like Chuck Berry.
