Sand Castle Contest
Get out those shovels and buckets - there's a major construction contest Friday - see who can build the best sand castle or sand creature. If you want a warm up, go to the Wednesday warm up at 10AM on the Grant St. beach.

Where: Cove Beach, at the 2nd Ave. jetty.

Nighttime on the Beach
City slickers who think nothing of taking subways after dark - here's your challenge: take a nighttime stroll on the beach - with no lights except your flashlight. Find out how many other creatures of the night are out for a walk at the same time.
When: August 4, 8-9PM
Where: Meet Nature Center naturalist at the Cape May Migratory Bird Refuge (the Meadows) parking lot on Sunset Boulevard.
How Much: $8 adults, $4 children ages 3 to 12; children under 3 free.
