Lost Cape May County
If you think the historic buildings we have here in Cape May County are unbelievable, too bad you never saw all of the buildings we've lost. Wednesday at 7PM (March 22) architectural historian Joan Berkley talks about some of the long lost grand hotels, train stations and windmills that have been demolished over the years. She'll also talk about some of the historic buildings saved from the wrecking ball by Historic Cold Spring Village. The talks is free. It's at the Welcome Center of Historic Cold Spring Village, Route 9 North, Cape May. (609) 898-2300, ext. 17
Wildwood Boat Show
If you can't get into the water, do the next best thing - look at boats at the Wildwood boat show this weekend at the the Wildwoods Convention Center. You can see more than 100 of the latest boats and personal watercraft and start dreaming about which one(s) you will be taking home someday. There's also an outdoor used boat show - so who knows - you might get lucky. Admission is $6 for adults, $4 children 12 - 18. Open both Saturday and Sunday. (609) 729-4000.
Maurice River Hike
Saturday at 9AM sharp the Nature Conservancy's leading a hike along the banks of the Conservancy’s Maurice River Bluffs Nature Preserve. The preserve is along the amazingly beautiful wild and scenic Maurice River. A highlight will be a stop at the Osprey breeding grounds. Be prepared to caravan.
