Jazz Festival

This spring's Cape May Jazz Festival honors Little Jimmy Scott. He revived his performing career in 1990 and has since recorded 20 albums, completed several international tours and been nominated for a Grammy award. Mickey Rooney

An entertainment legend - 85 year old Mickey Rooney struts his stuff as the Grand Marshall of Ocean City's annual Doo Dah parade this weekend. The parade starts at noon at 6th and Asbury Ave. in Ocean City.

After the parade, you can catch a tribute to the famous comedian.

Earth Day

Pitch in and give a hand for dear old Mother Earth on this Earth Day weekend.

From 8:30AM-3PM Saturday, April 22, you can help clear vines that are smothering trees at Cape May Point State Park. Bring tools. Coffee and donuts provided. Call the park at (609) 884-2159 for more info.

Also on Saturday, from 9:00AM-noon, plant mulch, and prune throughout the Nature Center of Cape May's grounds near the Harbor at 1600 Delaware Ave. Bring tools. Refreshments provided. Call the Nature Center at (609) 898-8848.
