Commitment. That's what this weekend is all about. Make a pledge to raise money for a good cause. Set aside 7 hours to navigate the Delaware Bay. Appreciate a craft that takes days and days to finish.

Annual Plunge for Patients
This is like the summer version of the Polar Plunge. You do a 5K run on the beach and a one mile ocean swim to raise money for the Johns Hopkins' Patient and Family Fund. It's just $25 to enter. (Free if you want to just want to watch from the sidelines.) Make sure to register between 3 and 5PM at the Wildwood Convention Center Saturday. Races star at Cresse Ave on the beach. (443) 271.2926.
 Delaware Bay Lighthouse Adventures
Spend almost an entire day on the Delaware Bay Saturday, searching for lighthouses. You'll see nine lighthouses that most people never see - that's because they're in the middle of the bay. $99. The 7 hour trip is co-sponsored by the Cape May Whale Watcher and the Mid-Atlantic Center for the Arts. Call (609) 884-5404 for tickets.
Weekend Quilt Show
Saturday and Sunday are Quilting Days at Historic Cold Spring Village. You don't have to know how to quilt - there will be many experts on hand exhibiting their fine patchworks from 10AM to 4PM. If you want to drag granny's quilt along, you can get it appraised on Sunday. Enjoy the old time dulcimer music and folk music while you ogle quilt. On route 9 North, just past the red brick Cold Spring Church.
