Beach Party
We're cheating a little because this one isn't happening on the weekend. But If you're here during the week, you're invited to a beach party! Head over to Beach Club of Cape May at 1860 Maryland Avenue and gorge on Washington Street Inn goodies while a steel drum band plays. Bring the kids - there'll be face painting and sand sculpting and kite flying. This is a fundraiser for two great local groups - the Center for Community Arts and Animal Outreach, sponsored by Gables. $35 for adults and $15 for children in advance, $45 and $20 at the door. Garden Tour
The annual marathon caravan of a local butterfly gardens starts this Friday. Pat Sutton takes you through three different groups of gardens. Take your pick - Cape May Point area Friday, North Cape May / Rio Grande Saturday and Goshen - Dennisville Sunday. if you can't choose, you can take all three. $35 per tour, $90 for all three. Blues Fest and BBQ Cookoff
What could be a better combo than a blues festival paired with a BBQ cook off? Throw in some BBQ lessons and you've got yourself a day. The party starts Friday night in North Wildwood along new Jersey Ave. Saturdya's the big day for judging the BBQ. And if you want to learn to cook liek the pros, take the BBq cooking course Saturday afternoon at 12:30PM $25 per class. Call (609) 523-6565 to register.
