Fireworks

Up and down the Jersey Shore, every town will be shooting off fireworks this weekend - even Cape May! For the first time in 16 years, you can see fireworks on the beach in Cape May as well as at the Cape May Ferry Terminal (on July 2) the Wildwood Boardwalk and the Stone Harbor Recreation Field. Just pick your spot, bring a chair if you want and be a kid again for an hour.

Lawn Party

To really get into the spirit of things, head to Congress Hall for a full day of old fashioned festivities. Crafts and food vendors will be on the veranda, there'll be Victorian dance demos, kids games on the lawn and a picnic supper and live marching bands.

Sunset Parade

 

The Coast Guard is staging one of their popular Sunset parades the night of July 4th. This is the whole nine yards - military drill teams, the Coast Guard recruit band, cannon fire - even low flying helicopters. The kids will be mesmerized.
