Who doesn't love Jersey corn - fresh from the fields?? It's enough to make you want to celebrate with a festival. Taste samples of homemade corn chowder and corn bread and, while you're at it, watch how they used to shell corn - the old fashioned way. You might even want to make a corn husk wreath.

This is hummingbird season and there's no better place to see the little fellas in action than the Cape May Bird Observatory's Goshen gardens. Head up there Wednesday or Saturday for an hour and a half walk through the gardens. The leader, Pat Sutton, is a nationally known author and hummingbird expert. If you've never seen a hummingbird before, you'll be amazed at how fast these guys move!
