Surf Weekend
Surfers from all over gather in Avalon in August every year - in memory of young surfer Brendan Borek. The event raises money for a pediatric cancer fund in Brendan's name. Head over to Avalon during the day Saturday and listen to the sounds of beach bands while you watch surfers ride those waves in the annual surf contest.

Clambake
You don't have to go to New England for a traditional Clambake. Just head up to Cape May Court House this weekend for the Cape May County Museum's annual shindig...complete with clams and barbecue. Soak up the sights and sounds for free. There's a charge for the food.

Mummers' Strut Contest
You know North Wildwood has a thing for those Mummers. Anyone from the Philly area will just love this Mummers Strut contest - and anyone from Outside the Philly area will be amazed to see grown ups prance like they were kids while string bands play Golden Slippers. That's what strutting does to you. Go see.
