Snowy Owl
January 2002 - When word of a Snowy Owl in Cape May got out, it took less than 10 minutes for the birders to begin assembling.
There have been about a half dozen of these Artic birds sighted along the South Jersey shore this season.
This one perched on the roof of a classic Cape May seaside home just a block from the ocean.
It hunkered down, ignored the onlookers and fell fast asleep.
