Ocean City’s Annual Great Easter Egg Hunt
2:30PM. Along the beaches from 11th to 13th Streets, kids can look for 100,000 eggs with candy, 4,000 with prizes. Five grand prize bikes will be awarded plus other grand prizes in each age group. Ffive age groups, 1-2 at 11th St., 3-4 and 5-6 at12th St. and 7, 8 and 9 yrs. at 13th St. Free, no need to register.
Basset Hound Olympics
1PM Kick off to Ocean City's Dooh Dah Days. Pooches gather at the Tabernacle grounds, 6th and Asbury Ave.,Ocean City, and attempt to sprint, leap over or walk around hurdles. The hilarious contest is sponsored by the Tri State Basset Hound Rescue League.
24th Annual Ocean City Doo Dah Parade
Noon. 500 basset hounds start at 6th and Asbury Ave., proceeds to 12th and Asbury, then to the Boardwalk ending at the Ocean City Music Pier. Grand marshal is Bill Dana, creator pf Jose Jimenez. Dana starred on the NBC-TV Bill Dana Show. Following the Parade, the popular PieAsco will be held in front of the Music Pier, Boardwalk and Moorln Terrace. When famed comedian Soupy Sales gives the signal, folks sitting in grandstands will smoosh each other with shaving cream pies. Free.
Ocean City Earth Day
11AM-3PM. Environmental displays, green giveaways, entertainment and children’s activities. There will be more than 30 exhibitors. Give-aways include light bulbs, cloth bags, pencils, pens and decals. The Turtle Singer at 11AM, The Philadelphia Zoo at 12:45PM, and story teller, Jim Albertson at 2PM. Food vendors and boat rides. Also, performances by the World’s Only Wind Chimes Band of Ocean City.
Bayside Center. Free parking and trolley service to the center from the Sixth St. parking lot, near the firehouse.
Third Annual End to End Bike Tour
10AM bikers begin at 59th St. and finish at the Bayside Center to help kick-off Earth Day proceedings.
