Mickey Rooney is Grand Marshal of Ocean City's Doo Dah ParadePosted 4/10/06 Mickey Rooney has appeared in over 200 films. He is currently in Vancouver, British Columbia filming “A Night In The Museum” with Robin Williams, Dick VanDyke and Ben Stiller. Rooney was awarded an Oscar for Lifetime Achievement. He received a Juvenile Oscar, a special award he shared with Deana Durbin plus five Oscar nominations, five Emmy nominations and two Golden Globes. The Doo Dah Parade begins at 6th and Asbury Ave. in Ocean City, travels through the center of town and concludes at the Music Pier on the Boardwalk. Over 500 basset hounds waddle in the Doo Dah Parade. Entry in the Doo Dah Parade is free. All participants receive a commemorative T Shirt and free hotdog lunch. Rooney will also appear in the Doo Dah Comedy Show at 8 p.m. following the Parade at the Tabernacle Auditorium, 5th and Wesley Ave. The show will be a “Tribute to Mickey Rooney” and feature comedians, vocalists and a special appearance by the Pitman Hobo Band celebrating its 60th Anniversary this year.
