The Aviary
This
new, enclosed, climate controlled $1.2 million World of Birds has
20 species from exotic flamingos to more familiar birds.
The Reptile House
About 75 species of snakes, turtles, alligators, lizards and arachnids
live in this new building. One of the rarer reptiles is the Asian
turtle from Cambodia. There are also plenty of snakes including pythons and boa constrictors.
Animals at the Zoo
More
than 100 species of other animals including red pandas, capybara - the
world's largest rodent, camel, reindeer, a black bear, bison and more.
The African Savannah
30
acres of plains type habitat where giraffes, zebra, and African
antelopes roam freely. Walk out on a boardwalk and see them safely
from a distance.
Cat Exhibit
Cougars,
cheetahs, tigers, lions and two species of leopard.
Primates
About
a dozen different species of monkeys.
New Jersey Animals
See
swift foxes, river otters and other New Jersey natives.
And
don't forget the three ponds and fountains where you'll see beautiful
swans and other waterfowl!
