Sunday on the Beach

After all the rain over the last few days, everyone had a case of cabin fever. No surprise that the Cape May Point State Park beach was a lively place on Sunday.

Fishermen tried their luck in the rough water...hoping for a bite.

Birders looked for migrating birds..on their way down south.

Some of those migrating birds, Caspian Terns, made a brief stopover for some rest and relaxation.

There were those who chose to be perfectly still...like this person reading the newspaper...

...and this migrating Monarch, who arrived just seconds earlier. The butterflies were coming ashore every few minutes. This one needed a break on the beach before moving on.

It seems like everyone needed a little R&R yesterday.
