Spring in Cape May is marked by many things—tulips, warm weather, Spring Festival
and an abundance of Crafts and Antiques Shows

May 1

Cape May’s first outdoor crafts show of 2004 is during its ninth annual Spring Festival. On Saturday, May 1, visit the Emlen Physick Estate from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. for the Antiques, Collectibles and Crafts Show. More than 60 crafters, artisans, collectors, antiques dealers and artist display and sell their hand-made and collectible items. Enjoy a leisurely walk through the grounds, as you shop for one-of-a-kind pieces. This event is free.

May 22

Celebrate the arrival of spring at the Spring Arts and Crafts Festival, with new decorations, crafts and hand-made goods in Cape May Convention Hall, Beach Drive at Stockton Place. The show is filled with craftspeople and artisans displaying their home-made floral arrangements, home and garden decorations and much more. The Spring Arts and Crafts Festival is 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, May 22. Admission is $1 for adults.

Cape May’s crafts craze continues during Memorial Day Weekend. On Saturday, May 29 visit Cape May Convention Hall, Beach Drive at Stockton Place, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. for Crafts at Memorial Day. Craftspeople from New England and the Mid-Atlantic regions offer a wide selection of country crafts, folk art, custom-design jewelry and a choice selection of Victorian-inspired items. Crafts at Memorial Day costs $1 for adults.

May 30

On Sunday, May 30, Cape May Convention Hall becomes a treasure trove of antiques including fine furniture, silver, porcelain, crystal and glass, estate and antique jewelry, vintage clothing and children’s toys and books, during Antiques at Memorial Day. Visit Cape May Convention Hall, Beach Drive at Stockton Place from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is $3.50 per person. A combination admission ticket to Crafts and Antiques at Memorial Day is $4.

June 12

Visit the Emlen Physick Estate, Cape May’s only Victorian House Museum, for it’s longest-running event—the Victorian Fair. On Saturday, June 12, the grounds of the Estate are filled with more
than 60 crafts, collectibles and antiques dealers, live musical performances, living history characters, children’s activities and refreshments. This family-fun event is from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission and parking are free.
