Cape May Victorian WeekCape May, NJ 09/28/04 - Every year in October, Cape May celebrates it's Victorian culture and heritage with ten days of house tours, parties, brass band concerts and fun. Starting October 8, Cape May pulls out all the stops, with special events planned practically every day.
There are also two old time Fashion Shows which include vintage fashions from the 1860's all the way to 1960. Wheaton Village once again performs the time honored art of glassblowing on the gournds of the Physick Estate. In addition to all the usual activities, this year the Mid-Atlantic Center for the Arts is adding some new events:
Catch a performance of a Victorian-style 'who done it's ?' during the Victorian Murder Mystery Dinner and Shows, as well as special performances by Cape May theater companies. (See all theater performances.) And speaking of mysteries, you can do a ghost hunting lunch with Psychic Medium Craig McManus.
And all Cape May restaurants will be open as well. It's no accident the Victorian Week takes place during what is arguably the most beautiful time of year in this seashore town. Cape May’s Victorian Week is sponsored by the Mid-Atlantic Center for the Arts (MAC). For more information call (609) 884-5404. Click to see all Cape May Victorian Week events.
