Discover Cape May Historic House Tour

Cape May, NJ 11-05-04 - First time in Cape May?? Discover Cape May, a self-guided tour, will help get you aquainted with this Victorian town very quickly.

Nine Cape May landmarks open their doors to share their interior treasures, collections and decorating secrets Saturday, November 13. from 1 to 3PM. The tour's sponsored by the Mid-Atlantic Center for the Arts (MAC) and Historic Accommodations of Cape May.

The following historic buildings are included on the tour:

• The Ashley Rose, 715 Columbia Ave.,
• The Bacchus Inn, 710 Columbia Ave.;
• Hotel Macomber, 727 Beach Drive;
• The Linda Lee, 725 Columbia Ave.;
• The Mainstay Inn, 635 Columbia Ave.;
• The Mason Cottage, 625 Columbia Ave.;
• The Queen Victoria, 102 Ocean St.;
• The Summer Cottage Inn, 613 Columbia Ave.

The Carriage House Gallery at the Emlen Physick Estate, 1048 Washington St., also will be on the tour. Don't miss the current exhibit "Ladies Who Lunch" , an exhibit of Victorian women's clothing.

The cost of the tour is $15 for adults and $7.50 for children (ages 3-12).

A portion of the proceeds benefits the Food Bank of Cape May.
