Cape May Beach Snow

CAPE MAY, N.J. –

Snow on the beach is a subtle but beautiful thing..something few people ever see.

We braved the cold long enough to stand under the pavilion at Cape May's 2nd avenue jetty to get a few snapshots Saturday in the middle of the storm.

It was so cold, Lily Lake in Cape May Point froze over. We found a few hardy souls playing ice hockey on the lake earlier in the day.

We wouldn't recommend that today.

The winds are howling mightily - so strong they're whipping up waves along the normally placid Delaware Bay - sending surges of angry, grey water washing over what remains of the Concrete Ship at Sunset Beach.
