Cape May Sand Castles

CAPE MAY, N.J. Who says a sand sculpture has to be a castle? How about a lobster? Or a car?
Those were just a couple of the 40 creations in the annual Sand Castle Contest sponsored by the city of Cape May and Can You Dig it toys. It was definitely a family affair. One family got to the beach at 8:30 in the morning to start their sand lobster and cherry pie.
Another father and his kids were hard at work on a miniature 1800's battle cruiser and fort. (on the right.)
Yet another group was sculpting a home entertainment unit, complete with TV.
And yes, there were plenty of traditional sand castles to go around.
