More Cape May Halloween HappeningsPosted 10/24/05 Ghostly Events The Mid-Atlantic Center for the Arts is going heavy on ghost tours for the whole month of October with their Ghost of Cape May Trolley Tour. Halloween weekend, October 27-29, there's a special twist on that tour. MAC's Evening Ride with the Ghostwriter on those evenings features author and psychic medium Craig Mc Manus. Mc Manus personally conducts tours of some of Cape May's spookiest sites. Tickets are $15. The tour begins and tickets are available at the Washington Street Mall Information Booth. Call MAC at (609) 884-5404 for more information. Also Saturday, October 29, MAC is starting a new haunted treasure hunt. Dress in costume (strongly encouraged!) and follow the trail through Cape May’s historic haunted houses. A clues sheet and map are included. Tickets are $13 per family and are available at the Washington Street Mall info booth. Just for Kids Or take a Halloween night hike looking for creepy crawly creatures at 7PM on Saturday, October 29 at Cape May Point State Park. Kids are encouraged to come in costume. Free. Bring a flashlight! Harry Potter fans should head over to the Nature Center of Cape May, 1600 Delaware Ave., from noon to 2:30PM on Sunday, October 30. There'll be fizzing potions and concoctions made of everyday kitchen ingredients followed by chocolate frogs and other tasty treats. $10 members, $15 non-members. Preregistration required. Phantom Dinners If you haven't had your fill of dressing up, head to the Phantom of the Opera dinner at the Mad Batter - in costume please - for a three course dinner and Halloween Costume contest Friday night, October 28. Cost: $45. Don't spill any food or drink on your costume You'll need it the following night, October 29th, for Congress Hall's Phantom Ball. Wildwood Parade If you missed Cape May's Halloween Parade this year, you can still catch the wildwood Parade. The Wildwood Halloween Parade starts at 6PM at the Wildwoods Convention Center on the evening of October 28th. Registration is at 5PM. Judging 5:30PM. Free. Call (609) 729-1934 for more info.
