Cape May Film Festival:
CAPE MAY, NJ - At this weekend's Cape May NJ State Film Festival, a local filmmaker presents his film about an unsung local artist.
Gerald Lynch, a sculptor from the Villas, devoted his life to his love of nature and the protection of the earth.
Lynch's stone carvings and sculptures reflect his lifelong message of caring for the Earth and its inhabitants. He died in 2000 but his studio on New York Ave. in the Villas is still intact.
North Cape May filmmaker
Craig Rinkerman tells Lynch's story in the film: Gerald Lynch, Sculptor.
The film will be one of the Festival Matinee Features Saturday, starting at 1PM at the Beach 4 theater in Cape May.
The filmmaker attended Lower Cape May Regional High School and received a Bachelor of Science in Film and Video Production from Drexel University.
