Cape May's Spring Festival

Cape May, NJ - Every April, Cape May celebrates the new season with a 10 day long Spring Festival.

Traditionally, the festival features the historic house tours the town is famous for, as well as some garden tours.

This year's festival runs from April 28 through May 7 and will also feature food - winery tours and a wine class, brunch walks, teas with lectures and a chocolate fantasy buffet.

One new addition is a tour called Dr. Physick’s Favorite Haunts, which combines Cape May's popular trolley tour, the Ghosts of Cape May, with an equally “spirited” tour of the 1879 Emlen Physick Estate. Guides at the Physick Estate will talk about the ghostly residents there and explore the Victorian era's fascination with spiritualism

Many spring bulbs are out in show this time of year and flower lovers will want to take a walking tour of a few private gardens in the historic district gardens and also drop in on the Home and Garden Show at Cape May Convention Hall.

The Mid-Atlantic Center for the Arts is also sponsoring murder mystery dinners, a Vintage Dance Weekend, and a new crafts show, for craft-a-holics.
