Cape May's Spring House tours

Updated 5/03/06
Cape May, NJ - Don't miss the private house tour that's part of this weekend's spring festival.

For two hours, from 11AM to 1PM, you can peek inside five private homes that are not normally open to the public.

Check out the Church-Matthews House and the Owen Coachman house - both on Batts Lane, just outside town. The circa 1700 and 1850 historic homes look like little doll houses. They were restored by Chris and Dave Clemens.

The Corgie Cottage is a brand new bungalow with sun parlor and open floor plan. Owners are Bud and Jan Wood.

The Green House on Columbia Avenue, owned by Councilman Jerry Gaffney and his wife Mary Ann, is a Dutch Colonial with a private garden and pond.

And if you missed last year's designer show house on Washington Street, you can take the tour this Saturday - click for more on last year's designer show house.

Also this Saturday, from 1 to 4PM, you can tour 15 of Cape May's Bed and Breakfast Inns in the Cape May Style house Tour.

Tickets are Available at the Washington Mall Info Booth or call the Mid-Atlantic Center for the Arts at (609) 884-5404.
