West Cape May Farmers Market
Posted 7/17/06 West Cape May's new and improved Farmer's Market is now open for business every Tuesday afternoon behind the West Cape May offices on Broadway. Look for Jersey tomatoes and lopes (the local jargon for cantaloupes), freshly picked corn, peaches and all sorts of green healthy stuff to eat. Local farmer Les Rea and other local growers sell produce that they've grown themselves.
If you're taking the veggies home for dinner, don't forget to pick up a nice bunch of cut flowers for the table.
If all that good food makes you hungry, grab a crab cake or some tasty snacks while you shop.
Each week, assorted other vendors will display their wares as well. The market runs every Tuesday through August 29, from 3 to 8PM. Look for it on Broadway - behind teh West Cape May borough offices.West Cape May's summer music concerts begin at 6:30PM at the same location, so you can turn your produce shopping into an evening's entertainment.
