Holiday Happenings
Posted 11/24/06 No, not the shopping rush. The holiday events rush. The early part of December - and especially the first weekend of the month - seems to be primetime for events' planners. Kicking off that first December weekend are the Cape May Tree Lighting and the Hereford Lighthouse tree lighting - both happening Friday night, December 1. Saturday, you can catch either the Wildwood Holiday Spectacular or the Sheep Farm's annual crafts show during the day. Saturday night, December 2 choose from the annual West Cape May Christmas parade, the first of MAC's three Christmas Candlelight House tours and the Cape May County Museum's new Candlelight House tour. Sunday, the St. Lucia Swedish Festival has the day to itself. Enjoy those Scandinavian goodies. Monday evening the Christmas cookies will be flying out of the oven fast and furiously at the Center for Community Arts' annual Cookie Exchange. There are many more holiday activiites throughout the entire month of December.
