Cape May, NJ - The Center for Community Arts' annual cookie exchange featured not just Christmas cookies but Santa and his elves - disguised as seamstresses for the evening.

The seamstress/elves were sewing up hats because everyone knows you can't eat cookies without the proper hat.

Once everyone had their hats, the cookie eating began in earnest. Even the elves had a few.

Many of the cookies were stuffed into newly decorated cookie baskets that the young, hat wearing cookie eaters took home.

Once the cookies were gone, Santa took off. But you know the drill - if you leave a couple of cookies on the kitchen table on Christmas Eve, he just might be back.
