Cape May's First Snowfall

What's better than the first snowfall in Cape May? The snow started slowly on Wednesday afternoon. By Thursday morning, the town was covered with a couple of inches of snow.

It was the perfect holiday scene setter. The whole town looked like a Christmas card.

We had an early December snow just two years ago - on December 8, 2005 for those of you who keep track of those sorts of things. Then we got just one more dusting that winter, in February,

Last year, we got no snow before Christmas but got hammered in January.

Could it be that this early snowfall is a harbinger of a warm winter to come? We'll just have to wait and see.
