Cape May's Nor' Ida

Cape May, NJ — Nothing like a little nor 'easter to bring crowds to the beach.
While the Weather Channel made it sound as though the sky was falling, local residents and surfers headed right for the beach, and a ringside seat.
Majestic waves drew a rapt audience. Some surfers had second thoughts as massive waves exploded on the beach.
Lucky for Cape May, damage from the storm was minimal. But don't tell that to the owner of this sailboat that ended up with the driftwood in Cape May Harbor.
Cape May City trucks were busy dumping extra sand to help keep the ocean in place at Cove Beach.
Thanks to a change in wind, the waves never had a chance to test the makeshift dune.
