Snowbound in Cape May

Cape May, NJ — Northwest winds up to 40 miles per hour howled Monday, kicking up snow squalls even after the storm had passed.
We got at least a foot of snow in the coastal storm that started Sunday morning and lasted until the wee hours of Monday.
See snow photos during the storm Sunday.
It was hard to tell exactly how much because the snow drifts varied dramatically from place to place.
The wind has scoured snow from some spots and deposited multi foot drifts in other spots. You can see that very clearly right along the beach.
The snow drifts in front of some local homes look like white sand dunes.
While we are all digging out, the melting should start in another couple of days. Check the latest weather forecast.
