Cape May Point, NJ in Saturday's Snow Storm

Posted 01/08/11
Cape May, NJ — Cape May Point looked lovely Saturday morning, coated with several new inches of freshly fallen white stuff.

The snowfall was so thick at times, the Cape May Point State Park Lighthouse almost disappeared into the whiteness.

All told, it looked like we got at least five inches of new snow, covering familiar spots like the State Park Pavilion, Lily Lake and the Hawk Watch Platform.

What a shame the streets were deserted - the town looked like a picture postcard.

Even the sand dunes glistened in the snow, turning from dull beige to pure white.
