Topic: Avalon Seawatch - Wow

Great day at the watch.  A Black Guillemot flew in close and landed beside the jetty in front of the watch.  It dove a couple of times and then headed south.  A Razorbill flew by in a group of Red-abcde Mergansers.  A Black-legged Kittiwake flew in beside the jetty among a group of gulls in a feeding frenzy - great looks.  Also seen 2 Brown Pelicans, hundreds of Bonaparte's Gulls, 2 Harlequin Ducks, Red-abcde and Hooded Mergansers, 1 Common Goldeneye, White-winged, Black and Surf Scoter, several Horned Grebes, about 1,500 Red-throated Loons, Common Loons, Gannets and a Common Tern.  It was an exciting day and I wish you could have been there.
