Historic Cape May Tours

Historic District Walking tour

Guides lead daily walks that last about 1 ½ hours through the heart of Cape May's historic district. Adults $10, children $5. Check Washington St. Mall Info Booth, Washington and Ocean Sts, for times. Coordinated by the nonprofit Mid-Atlantic Center for the Arts: (609) 884-5404.

Self-guided Cape May Audio Tours.
Audi cassettes are available for thsoe who wnat to take their own tour at their own pace. You can get the cassettes at the Hilll House in the Emlen Physick Estate, 1048 Washington St., from 9AM-4PM daily. $5 for first 2 hours. $2 for each additional 1/2 hour. Contact: (609) 884-5404

Trolley Tours
Guided trolley tours take visitors through Cape May's historic east end and west end .$6 Adults, $3 children. Trolleys leave from Washington St. Mall and Ocean St. several times during the day. (approximately every 45 minutes) You can get the latest times and buy tickets at Washington St. Mall info booth. Contact: Mid-Atlantic Center for the Arts (609) 884-5404.

Historic Building Tours

Emlen Physick Estate

Victorian mansion and furnishings. Tours through the mansion are conducted several times a day, some with actors playing the roles of the Physick family in the 1800's. Hereford Inlet Lighthouse

Tour of Gothic lighthouse in North Wildwood takes you to the very top. Tours every hour, 9AM to 7PM daily. $4 adults, $1 children. Make sure to spend some time in the beautiful Hereford Inlet gardens as well. 1st and Central Aves., North Wildwood (609) 522-4520.

Wildwood Doo Wop Tour
For those who love the 1950's, a 45 minute trolley ride tours Wildwood's Doo Wop landmarks. Leaves from both Washington St. Mall, Cape May and Pine and Pacific Aves., Wildwood. $8 adults, $4 children 3 to 12. Tues., Wed., Thurs at 7PM (609) 884-5404.

Haunted Cape May
Some say because of its large concentration of historic buildings, Cape May is a hotbed of paranormal activity. See for yourself on these evening tours. 7 and 9PM every night but Sunday. Meet at Howard and Beach, on the boardwalk. Reservations highly recommended. Call (609) 463-8984.
