Cape May, NJ - If you ever wonder where all the locals are, when summer visitors claim the town for a couple of months, look no further than the West Cape May Farmers' Market.

Don't let the name fool you. Yes there are some farmers selling Jersey fresh produce like corn and tomatoes. There's also a Tarot Card reader, ready with some quick advice.

Pick up some veggies for dinner, and, while you're at it, pick up something to wear for dinner as well.

Don't stop with the dresses, There are several jewelry stands to peruse, as well as herbs to sniff and tablecloths to check out. Even homemade biscotti from One in the Oven.

All this shopping can wear you out. Stop by the Well Center for Masssage booth for a nice shoulder and neck rub. Ah that feels great.

Count on the boy scouts to come through with a cold drink and a hot dog for a snack. Or go for Courtney's always delicious crab cakes.

You can munch your dinner/snack at a picnic table or on the lawn, while you listen to live music.

And chat with your neighbors. You know you'll run into them there. You'll also see West Cape May farmer Les Rea every week. And the West Cape May Environmental Commission, selling reusuable shopping bags.

The Farmers Market lasts from 3PM until sunset every Tuesday during July and August. Look for it behind the West Cape May muncipal building on Broadway. Free limited parking but, better yet, walk or ride your bike.
