2011 West Cape May Christmas Parade

Cape May, NJ - The weather was almost balmy last night for the 46th annual West Cape May Christmas Parade. Hundreds lined the parade route to see the floats, firetrucks and marching bands.

Several members of royalty were in attendance, including the Queen of the parade.

Creativity reigned in the float department.
A Blue Pig hovered over Congress Hall.

A tee-pee became a Christmas tree, complete with woodfire.

Boats and planes coasted along Broadway with ease.

It could have been the Macy’s parade – in miniature.

The  parade route never changes -  south on Broadway then a sharp left on Perry, finally wrapping up on Carpenters Lane in Cape May. All along the route,  Mummers String Bands and high school marching bands — more than 20 total groups – kept the music going.

The music was great.  Safe to say, everyone had a pretty good time.
