Cape May Singer Songwriter Concerts

Cape May, NJ – Cape May’s Fifth annual Singer Songwriter Conference brings in hundreds of singers and songwriters who perform at local restaurants for two nights – March 30-31.

Headlining the acts are two artists – Todd Sheaffer of Railroad Earth is on stage at Congress Hall Saturday night. His band regularly sells out shows across the country. Sheaffer, originally from Northwestern New Jersey, has become known for his story telling lyrics.

Christine MartucciAsbury Park based singer-songwriter Christine Martucci takes the stage at Congress Hall Friday night.

Martucci  released her third CD  at the  legendary Stone Pony in Asbury Park..  She’s also performed at the Paramount Theater, the Hard Rock Café in Times Square,  The Starland Ballroom and other venues.

Both headline performances take place at 8PM and cost $15 a ticket.

But theirs are not the only performances.

Dozens of songwritters will be singing at several Cape May restaurants Friday and Saturday nights.

Among the venues: Aleathea’s Restaurant, Cabanas Beach Bar and Grill, Carney’s, Congress Hall Grand Ballroom, Copper Fish Restaurant, Corinthian Yacht Club Of Cape May, C-View Inn, Elaine’s, Jackson Mountain Cafe, Lucky Bones Backwater Grille, Marq’s Pub at the Marquis de Lafayette , Martini Beach , Merion Inn , Pilot House, SeaSalt, The Mad Batter and the Ugly Mug.

Each will have their own line up of singer songwriters on stage.

One of the purposes of Singer Songwriter Cape May is to highlight new music and new artists.

During the day, those songwriters will be attending workshops on everything from how to triple your audience to social media and marketing.

But, in the evening, they’ll be singing. And those performances are all free and open to the public.
