West Cape May Election Results


West Cape May, NJ – On an election eve in which Governor Chris Christie sailed to an easy victory, all eyes locally were on the West Cape May Commissioners’ race.

After a hard fought campaign, incumbent West Cape May Mayor Pam Kaithern took the top spot with her running mates Peter Burke and Carol Sabo close behind.

Voters were asked to vote for three candidates.

Here are the official results from the Cape May County Clerk’s office:

Commissioner West Cape May (Vote For 3)

*Pamela M Kaithern 20.64%  331 votes
*Peter C Burke 19.70% 316 votes
*Carol E Sabo 19.51% 313 votes
John H Francis III 13.97% 224 votes
David A Wilburn Sr 12.78% 205 votes
Stephanie Latorre 13.40% 215 votes

There were no write in votes.

With all districts reporting in across Cape May County, the clerk’s office reports 50% of  County voters turned out to vote on the Governor’s race and County and local offices.

Governor Christie took over 71% of Cape May County votes.
