January 21 Snow 2015

Cape May, NJ – It was nice to see some snow again – two inches on January 21. It wasn’t a lot and it didn’t stick around long. But at least it was something.

These are the snowfalls we like – a heavy coating on all the cedars and pines and magnolias. Not so much on the streets.

It’s the kind of snow that turns all of Cape May into a quintessential winter village, from the Emlen Physick Estate to West Cape May.

This January we’ve gotten just over three inches of snow compared to a total of more than 16 inches last January. The weather’s felt warmer than usual this winter. Perhaps that ‘s because last January was so much colder than normal.

But the month’s not over yet.
