East Lynne: Holmes and Carter Mysteries 2015

CAPE MAY, NJ -  Crime fighters Sherlock Holmes and Nick Carter share top billing in East Lynne Theater’s Holmes and Carter Mysteries March 20 and 21.   The two mysteries:  Sherlock Holmes Adventure of the Copper Beeches and Nick Carter and the Strange Dr. Devolo are presented in the style of an old fashioned radio broadcast, complete with live sound effects and commercials.

The same cast of six plays the roles in both mysteries, switching from Holmes’ Victorian England  to Carter’s Manhattan during World War II.  The cast includes: Lee O’Connor, Fred Velde, Mark Edward Lang, Alison J. Murphy, Gayle Stahlhuth, and Robert LeMaire. Gayle Stahlhuth, who directed the on stage radio recreations, is in her seventeenth year as the company’s artistic director.

Performances are at The First Presbyterian Church of Cape May, 500 Hughes St., Cape May.  Tickets: $25 for general admission, $15 for full-time students and those in the military. Children 12 and under are admitted for free.

Show time: 8PM both Friday and Saturday nights, March 20th and 21st.
