Easter in Cape May 2015

CAPE MAY, NJ – The jelly beans will be flowing freely on Easter Sunday, April 5th, on Cape May’s Washington Street Mall.  Get ready for yet another Easter Parade, Cape May style. The town calls it the Easter Fashion Stroll.

The registration starts at noon. Fashion strollers start walking along the Washington Street Mall  at 1PM. If you’re the competitive type, make sure to tie on your bonnet and polish those Mary Jane’s. Awards will be given!

To maximize the number of winners – the town will giving awards in several children’s categories, based on age, plus a bonus prize for the best children’s Easter bonnet.

Adults participate as well.  Some sartorially splendid person or persons will walk away with the Best Dressed Lady, Best Dressed Man, Best Dressed Couple and Best Dressed Family awards.

Congress Hall Easter Egg Hunts

If you time it properly, you’ll be able to hit one of Congress Hall’s two Easter egg hunts before the Easter Parade.

The traditional hunt for Easter eggs take place at 11AM and again at 12:30PM at Congress Hall. The Easter Bunny and his sidekick, Blue the Pig will make guest appearances. Then, from 1:30 to 2:30 PM, families can work off their Easter brunch by taking part in a variety of lawn games including potato sack races and three-legged races.

Several Cape May restaurants offer Easter brunch – check with your favorite eating spots and make reservations ahead of time.
