Blast of Arctic Air February 2016

Cape May, NJ – If you wanted to get a really good blast of Arctic air this morning, the best place to go was Higbee Beach.  The polar winds from the west / northwest were churning the normally placid Delaware Bay into a chocolate froth.

And it was cold out there! Colder than it’s been all winter.

This weekend’s polar vortex dropped temperatures to the 20′s. That, combined with winds of 30 to 40 miles per hour made it almost impossible to tolerate too much time outdoors, unless you’re the sort who wears two or three parkas at a time.

The wind chill for Sunday morning is expected to be sub zero for the Cape May area – a very chilly Valentine’s Day.

Very similar to last year’s Valentine’s Day weekend!
