West Cape May, NJ - The sidewalks along Broadway in West Cape May were jammed with parade watchers Saturday night.
As usual, the West Cape May Christmas Parade took on a life of its own, with its over the top assortment of firetrucks, community floats, high school bands, local dancers and Mummers marching from one part of Cape Island to the other.
There were dozens of floats, some very simple some elaborate. And lots of proud participants.
The milder weather drew onlookers out this year. They know you just have to be there to experience the zaniness. Photos never do this parade justice.
It’s always the first Saturday of December, starting at 5PM sharp. Put it on your 2017 calendars.
