Taco Shop Opens at Cape May Airport 2017

Cape May, NJ – What does a Taco Shop have in common with an upscale Cape May Point restaurant and a French Bakery?

They’re all part of the growing brand of The Red Store.

This month Red Store chef Lucas Manteca and Maria Fox, creator of Pickle Girl Pickles, opened The Taco Shop at the Cape May Airport.

The menu could not be simpler: just choose your favorite Mexican format – tacos, burrito, quesadilla, etc. Then pick your protein. In addition to standards like chicken and shrimp, you can choose short ribs, roasted lamb and house made sausage.

Add some extras like Queso Fresco or three different variations on Guacamole and bingo – lunch or dinner is served.  Fans of The Little Store bakery – look for house made desserts like Chocolate Ganache Cake and Key Lime Pie.

The Taco Shop’s emulating a real life Mexican taqueria. Sort of like a higher end version of the popular Chipotle chain.  Grab some take out or stay and eat in the hip, industrial decor. Of course the food is delicious – it always is when the Red Store’s involved.

It’s the location for this new venture that’s pure genius. Manteca opened his new Taco Shop right next door to the Cape May Brewery. The brewery doesn’t serve food.

In addition to the brewery clientele, Manteca’s looking to attract one group that Cape May restaurants don’t often target – locals north of the canal.

Even if you live south of the canal, this new Taco Shop’s worth the short drive.
Currently The Taco Shop is open Wednesday through Sunday from 11:30AM to 8:30PM.
