Relax on the front porch, overlooking the flower beds. Or sit on the back deck and listen for songbirds in the trees. (Can you tell this house is owned by nature lovers?) Just a block and a half away, the ocean and beach are waiting. Bring the brood home for lunch then head back out for more sun and sand.
The family will love congregating on the screened in porch - a great al fresco dining spot. You can take over the spot when the rest of the clan goes to the beach. Stay behind, borrow a book from the bookshelf and spend a lazy afternoon on the porch all by yourself. On still nights, you can sit on a wicker chair and listen to the waves.
