West Cape May Strawberry Festival

Dieters beware - the ultimate strawberry shortcake is ready to tempt you this Saturday.

The West Cape May Business Association presents their annual Strawberry Festival in Wilbraham Park and the star of the day is the lcoal, Jersey strawberry.

The strawberry season is short - only 2-3 weeks so all the more reason to gulp them down while you can. (Why is it that nothing tastes quite as good as South Jersey strawberries?)

The annual festivla is a small town smorgasbord of entertainment, crafts and food including plenty of strawberries.

Of course the hands down favorite is strawberry shortcake and if you are ever going to break your diet, this is the time.

A new Strawberry Queen and King will be crowned at the end of the day - a sweet reign if there ever was one.
