Wildwood's Fab Sixties Weekend

Wildwood, NJ - What ever happened to Herman's Hermits? And what about Mickey Dolenz from The Monkees? A Sensational Sixties Rock and Roll Show featuring those artists and others tops off a Wildwood weekend devoted to the fabulous sixties.

Among the events this weekend -

  • A Record Hop Friday night with none other than Jerry Blavat from 8Pm to midnight.
  • A concert Saturday at 7PM at the Wildwoods Convention Center featuring Herman’s Hermits starring Peter Noone, Micky Dolenz of the Monkees,The Grass Roots, The Crystals, and the Rip Chords.
  • A Street Fair all day Saturday with free live music, hula hoop contests and vendors. Among the live entertainers: Love Affair performs hits from the '50s and '60s; 1910 Fruitgum Company performs "Simon Says" and "1-2-3 Red Light," and Surf guitar band The Rip Chords perform their million-seller "Hey Little Cobra."
  • A Classic cars show as well as antiques from the 1950's and 1960's. Free admission at the Convention Center from 10AM to 6PM Saturday.

The events take place in and around the Wildwood Convention Center on the boardwalk. The cost for Saturday night's concert is $35 a person, the record hop is $10. Tickets at the door or call (609) 729-4000.
