North Wildwood Italian Festival 2004

June 27 - You could smell the festival 5 blocks away - smoky aromas of Italian sausages and sweet peppers, veal, roasted corn and zeppoles brought the folks in for a taste.

Towering over the crowds on Olde New Jersey Ave in North Wildwood was a statue of St. Anthony - festooned with dollar bills. (The money raised goes to charity.)

No need to venture all the way to NYC's Mulberry Street or Philly's 9th Street festivals - - this was a lot closer and the sausage was just fine.
