Several Oystercatcher nests have hatched in the last week, Laughing gulls are begining to lay eggs as are Common and Fosters terns. Great blackback and Herring gulls are close to hatching, Ospreys seem to be doing well, no nest abandoning as of yet.Clapper rails are seen mainly in pairs, probably haven't nested yet. Large numbers of shore birds in breeding plumeage, numbers seem good except for Redknots.Heron rookery is active, some birds on nests others just setting up. Seems as tho more birds present daily. All observations from the Skimmer.
